Two-tone Satin, or Dual-tone Satin is often describing the particular satin which is presenting two or more colours, when displaying at different angles.

Their weight varies in wide range, and has nothing to do with any specific physical characteristics. They can be Shantung, Organza Satin, Taffeta, Stretch and more.

Its two-tone characteristics could be created in the way of plain-dyed (dyeing after woven), or yarn-dyed (woven by two different colours of yarn). Either of these production methods could present its beauty in an exaggerating way.

It is commonly practiced on evening gowns, dance wear and other performing costumes to serve an eye-catching purpose. It is also used in small parts like lapels, hats, ribbons, etc. to emphasise the object from the outsuit.
